JOIN THE MINING MINUTE
Your knowledge.
A clearer industry.
Writers, broadcasters, industry voices and grassroots curators: help explain mining in a minute.

Mining needs clear voices
We are looking for people who can turn a complicated development into a useful explanation: broadcasters, interviewers, writers, geologists, engineers, operators, students, local correspondents and video editors. Bring practical knowledge, curiosity and a willingness to show the evidence behind a claim.
Broadcast and present
Pitch a focused one-minute explainer, a longer interview or a three-part clip series. Tell us your proposed audience, your experience and where we can see or hear a sample. We value clear questions and accurate explanations over a performance of certainty.
Report from the ground up
Local contributors can surface useful public documents, equipment stories, regional developments and overlooked questions. Identify your role, location and relationship to the subject. Do not send private site information, access instructions or material you are not authorised to share.
Curate and verify
A curator brings the original source, date, proposed angle and the reason a story matters. We write our own summaries and link readers to the evidence. Public availability does not confer permission to copy photographs, articles or video footage. Identify ownership and permitted use for every media asset.
Tell us where you fit
Email a short introduction, your areas of knowledge, a sample or public portfolio link, and one story idea. State relevant employment, investment, issuer or commercial relationships. If your sample uses third-party media, explain the permission. Please do not send identity documents or confidential employer material.
How the invitation works
This is an invitation to discuss freelance contributions, collaboration and presenter ideas. It is not a posted salaried vacancy, a promise of paid work or a membership registration. Scope, rights, editorial responsibilities and any compensation must be agreed before an assignment begins. There is no application charge.

The button below opens an email draft to the editorial desk. It does not create an account or save an application on this site. We review pitches before agreeing an assignment, and publication remains subject to editorial review.
